Autumn

I’ve never meant to be your Spring,
Neither your bright Summer.
Perhaps, I could be your Autumn,
Cool, sweet, and golden.

Without the storms of March,
Neither the dog days of July,
Perhaps, with the scent of apples
or the tender touch of a breeze.
